戸山キャンパスってどんなところ？
戸山キャンパスは東京都新宿区戸山にある早稲田大学のキャンパスで、主に文学部と文学研究科の拠点になっている場所です。人文科学系の勉強をする学生たちが日々過ごしているキャンパスなんです。

こんにちは太郎順平です。今回は，近未来感ある早稲田大学の戸山キャンパスについてご紹介します。
僕は今、早稲田大学に在籍している、ごく普通の男子大学生。実は高校までずっと田舎育ちで、東京に出てくるまでは「満員電車ってのれるのかな？」「いかつい人たくそんいそうだな。」って、期待と同時に色々な不安もありました。
そんな僕だからこそ、早稲田を目指している高校生や、お子さんのことを応援している保護者の皆さんが「本当に知りたい！」と思う情報を、僕自身のリアルな体験談を交えて発信しています。

戸山キャンパスの施設を詳しく紹介
1. 戸山の丘
戸山の丘は戸山キャンパスを代表する場所で、早稲田アリーナの屋上の部分に当たります。ここは常に学生がくつろいでいて、ゆったりとした時間が流れています。目の前にはスターバックスがあって、そこでスタバを買ってチルってる人や課題に取り組んでる人などいろんな人がいるんです。戸山の丘の芝生はとても気持ちよくて、寝転んでる人もよく見かけますね。
2. 戸山スロープ
戸山スロープは31、32、33、34号館などに行くときに通る上り坂です。ほとんどの授業は今あげたこの館で行われるため、ほぼ毎日この坂を上ることになります。坂ってほどの坂じゃないので安心してください。春には桜が咲いて、5月ぐらいは新芽の匂いがすごかったです。僕は苦手でしたが笑
3. 戸山カフェテリア
早稲田大学には各キャンパスに学食がついてて、もちろん戸山キャンパスにも学食があります。メニューは全て一緒なので、戸山限定みたいなのはないんですが、なんか戸山キャンパスの学食は人手不足で本キャンより提供されるメニューが少ないんです。座席数はたくさんありますが、昼は大行列になることが多いので、早めに行くのをおすすめします。
4. 戸山図書館
この図書館は約49万冊の蔵書があって、夜の10時まで開館しています。主に文学部・文化構想学部に関する本が置いてあるので、文学に興味がある人にはとてもいい図書館になると思います。
5. 33号館
戸山でもひときわ目立つ背の高い塔で、100近い教授陣の個人研究室があったり、各学部のコース室があったりしてなんかすごいです。文・文構の学生は主に2年以降に使う機会が多いと思います。
6. 早稲田スポーツミュージアム
昔からスポーツ界にトップアスリートを輩出し続けている早稲田大学の歴史が詰まったミュージアムです。中がとてもかっこいいので、雰囲気だけでも味わっていただきたいですね。
7. ミルクホール
戸山キャンパスにはパン屋さんがあります。数多くのパンがあって、ひとつ170円ぐらい（パンによります）で売ってます。僕はチョコチップメロンパンしか食べてないですが、チュロスなんかもあったりします。中にはイートインスペースもありますよ。1限が終わった11時前になると、パンの香りが戸山キャンパスに広がって、みんなそれにつられてつい買っちゃうなんてこともよくあります。
8. 早稲田アリーナ
地下2階、地上4階建ての多目的施設です。地下にはでっかい入学式や卒業式を行う体育館があって、僕も入学式で行ったときは、「これが早稲田かー」と早稲田のすごさを実感しました。2階には交流テラスなどもあって、学生が個人でも団体でも活動できるスペースがあります。
9. 学生会館
ここは主に文化系サークルの活動場所になってて、たくさん部屋があります。1階にはラウンジみたいなのもあっていつも学生がたくさんいます。さらに、セブンイレブンまであるっていう豪華な場所なんです。トレーニングセンターもここにあるので、ぜひ利用してください。早稲田のジムは健康診断受けないと使えないので，また確認してみてくださいね。
まとめ
戸山キャンパスは文学部・文化構想学部の学生にとって第二の家みたいな存在です。コンパクトながらも充実した施設が揃ってて、学生生活を豊かにしてくれる場所なんです。戸山の丘でのんびりしたり、図書館で勉強に集中したり、ミルクホールでパンを買って食べたり、それぞれの過ごし方ができるのが戸山キャンパスの魅力だと思います。

What’s Toyama Campus like?
Toyama Campus is one of Waseda University’s campuses, located in Shinjuku, Tokyo. It’s basically the home base for students studying humanities and social sciences. You’ll see lots of students majoring in literature and culture hanging around here every day!
Super easy to access:
- Address: 1-24-1 Toyama, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo
- About 3 minutes on foot from “Waseda Station” (Tokyo Metro Tozai Line)
- Also walkable from the Waseda stop on the Toden Arakawa Line

Let me show you around Toyama Campus!
1. Toyama Hill (Toyama no Oka)
This is THE chill spot on Toyama Campus — a grassy rooftop area right by Waseda Arena.
There’s even a Starbucks nearby, so you’ll see students relaxing with coffee, working on assignments, or just hanging out.
The lawn is super comfy — perfect for lying down and enjoying the weather.
2. Toyama Slope
The gentle slope leading to buildings 31, 32, 33, and 34 — where most classes happen.
Don’t worry, it’s not a crazy steep hill or anything!
In spring, the cherry blossoms bloom along the path, and in May, there’s this strong scent of fresh leaves (I wasn’t a fan, lol).
3. Toyama Cafeteria
Of course, Toyama Campus has a cafeteria!
The menu’s basically the same as other campuses, but… rumor has it they’re a bit short-staffed, so fewer options than the main campus.
Plenty of seats, but it gets packed during lunch — better go early!
4. Toyama Library
A must for book lovers — this library has around 490,000 books, mainly focused on literature and culture.
It’s open till 10 PM, which is awesome for late-night study sessions!
5. Building 33
The tall tower that totally stands out on campus.
It’s where you’ll find professors’ offices and various department spaces.
Most students start using it more from their 2nd year onward.
6. Waseda Sports Museum
Waseda has produced tons of top athletes, and this museum shows off that proud history.
Even if you’re not super into sports, it’s a cool space to check out!
7. Milk Hall (Bakery)
Yep, we’ve got a bakery on campus!
They sell tons of different breads — around 170 yen each (depends on the bread).
My fave? Chocolate chip melon bread!
They also have churros and more. There’s even an eat-in space.
When classes end around 11 AM, the whole campus fills with the smell of fresh bread… and yeah, you’ll totally get tempted to buy some. Happens to all of us, lol.
8. Waseda Arena
A big multi-purpose building with 2 basement floors and 4 floors above ground.
Our entrance and graduation ceremonies happen here — when I walked in for the first time, I was like:
“Wow… THIS is Waseda…”
There are also free spaces for clubs, group projects, and chilling with friends.
9. Student Hall
The main spot for cultural clubs and circles.
Tons of rooms, a chill lounge area, and even a 7-Eleven inside — it’s honestly super convenient.
There’s also a gym (training center), but FYI — you’ll need to get a health check to use it!
Final Thoughts｜Toyama Campus = Your Second Home
Toyama Campus might be compact, but it’s packed with awesome facilities that make student life better.
