はじめに

みなさん、こんにちは！早稲田大学生の皆さん、アルバイト探しで悩んでいませんか？😊

早稲田大学には多種多様な学生が集まっており、それぞれの学生に合ったアルバイトがあります！僕自身も東京に上京してから、かなりの数のアルバイトを探してきました。ある時期は、インディードで1日2〜3時間も求人を見てしまうほど、求人チェックが趣味になっていたくらいです😅

これまで6つの面接を受けて、今は2つのアルバイトを掛け持ちしています！

僕のアルバイト遍歴と体験談💼

1. 児童クラブ（オンライン面接）

僕が最初に受けた面接は児童クラブのバイト。オンラインでの面接だったので、私服でリラックスしながらおしゃべりを楽しむような感覚でした✨ 子ども好きであることや通勤時間の短さをアピールし、無事に合格！

ただし、「3営業日以内に連絡します」と言われたのに、結果が届いたのは1ヶ月後😂 印象は悪かったですが、時給も高く家から近かったため、結局そこで働いています（笑）

💡ポイント： 子ども関係のバイトは責任が重い分、時給が高めに設定されていることが多いです！

2. 訪問保育士系バイト

面接は受けたものの、不合格😢 通勤時間が1時間以上かかるため、それが原因だったのかもしれません。

💡ポイント： 通勤時間は面接で重要視されるポイント。30分以内がベストです！

3. 居酒屋

チェーン店の居酒屋で、面接後すぐにシフトを組まされました。契約書もなく、しかも店内喫煙OK🚭 スタッフも客もマナーが悪く、受動喫煙が嫌で即退職しました。その日に飛びました笑　飲食業は稼げるけど、働きがいが感じられないと辞めたくなります。

💡ポイント： 契約書がない職場は要注意！労働条件を必ず確認しましょう。

4. 小学生向け塾講師

オンライン面接を経て採用され、実際に働いてみたら楽しかったです！ただし、スーツ必須＆通勤40分、乗り換え2回😅 授業給は高いけど、最初の事務給は最低賃金以下で、実質時給800円くらいになってしまいました。一か月ぐらい言って，辞めました。

💡ポイント： 塾講師は授業給と事務給が分かれていることが多いので、実質時給を計算してみて！

5. アイドルのチェキ撮影バイト

時給2000円と聞いて面接へ行ってみたものの、ホワイトボードに「アイドル月給80万円」など怪しすぎる文言があり、場所も歌舞伎町💦 面接後、連絡は来ませんでしたが、裏に何かあると感じました。

💡ポイント： 高時給すぎるバイトは要注意！事前にしっかり調べましょう。

6. 家庭教師

時給2000円超えと高待遇！週1回・90分程度なのでガッツリ稼ぐのには不向きですが、とても良い家庭に当たったので、食事をご馳走になることもあり、個人的には最高のバイトです💕 給与も親から手渡しされるなど、ゆるい雰囲気です。

💡ポイント： 家庭教師は当たり外れが大きいですが、良い家庭に当たれば最高の職場になります！

7. 単発バイト（オタク剥がし）

単発バイトは面接なしで、登録するだけですぐに働けるのが魅力です✨ 僕が行ったのは、アイドルイベントでの「オタク剥がし」バイト。オタクがアイドルと交流した後、一定時間で剥がすという仕事でした。

隣の学生と仲良くなってずっと喋っていたり、アイドルやオタクを眺めているだけで、基本は暇😂 立ちっぱなしは辛かったですが、全体的に楽なバイトでした。時給は低めでも、1日で1万円近く稼げるのが魅力です！

早稲田大学生に人気のアルバイトジャンル📊

📚 塾講師

最も多いとされるバイト。学歴を活かして働けるのが魅力ですが、デメリットも多いです：

メリット：

• 学歴を活かせる
• 教えることで自分の知識も深まる
• 生徒の成長を見られる喜び

デメリット：

• 一日に入れる授業数が限られる（3〜4コマ程度）
• 事務給が最低賃金、授業給も1200〜1400円とあまり高くない
• スーツ必須。オフィスカジュアルで良いところもある。置きスーツができないと、毎回学校にスーツで行く必要あり

高時給なところ（例：早稲田○○デミー）もありますが、体育会系の雰囲気で厳しいとの声もあります💦

🏨 ホテル

料理提供やブライダルなど、仕事内容は多岐にわたります。高級ホテルが多く、新宿が近い早稲田ならでは！働いている学生は多く、評判も良いです✨

メリット：

• 接客スキルが身につく
• 高級感のある職場環境
• 時給が比較的高め（1200〜1500円）
• シフトの融通が利きやすい

🍽️ 飲食店（居酒屋・高級飲食店）

飲食店はたくさん入れるのが魅力！居酒屋は忙しくて大変ですが、高級料理店などは客層もよく、時給も高め。礼儀さえ守れば働きやすく、かなりおすすめです👍

飲食店の最大のメリット：まかない🍜 特に一人暮らしの学生にとって、まかないがあることで食費が大きく浮きます！実質的には「まかない＝＋1時間分の時給」と言っても過言ではなく、このメリットは本当に大きいです。いや、大きすぎます😂

☕ カフェ・早稲田周辺の飲食店

特におすすめなのが、早稲田周辺の飲食店！早稲田名物「油そば」の店などで働けます🍜

メリット：

• 学校のついでにバイトができる
• 客層がほぼ学生で気楽
• 空きコマに働ける
• 通勤時間ほぼゼロ

また、学内コンビニで働いている人も多く、

• 酒・たばこの販売がない
• 忙しいのは昼休みだけ
• 大学生活に支障が出にくい

など、初心者にも優しいです😊

🎉 イベントスタッフ・単発バイト

東京は求人数が圧倒的に多く、単発でサクッと入れるバイトも充実しています！

Introduction

Hello everyone! Are you Waseda University students struggling to find part-time jobs? 😊

Waseda University attracts diverse students, and there are part-time jobs suitable for each student! Since I moved to Tokyo, I’ve searched for quite a number of part-time jobs. At one point, I spent 2-3 hours daily on Indeed looking at job postings – job searching had become my hobby! 😅

🎉 Currently, I’m working two part-time jobs simultaneously!

My Part-time Job History and Experiences 💼

1. After-school Program (Online Interview)

My first interview was for an after-school program job. Since it was online, I felt relaxed in casual clothes, like having a friendly chat ✨ I emphasized my love for children and short commute time, and successfully passed!

However, while they said “we’ll contact you within 3 business days,” I received the result one month later 😂 The impression was poor, but since the hourly wage was high and close to home, I ended up working there anyway (laugh).

💡 Point: Child-related jobs often have higher hourly wages due to the responsibility involved!

2. Visiting Childcare Job

I interviewed but was rejected 😢 The commute time of over an hour might have been the reason.

💡 Point: Commute time is an important factor in interviews. Within 30 minutes is best!

3. Izakaya (Japanese Pub)

At a chain izakaya, I was immediately scheduled for shifts after the interview. There was no contract, and smoking was allowed inside 🚭 Both staff and customers had poor manners, and I quit immediately due to passive smoking. While food service can be profitable, you’ll want to quit if you don’t find it worthwhile.

💡 Point: Workplaces without contracts are suspicious! Always confirm working conditions.

4. Elementary School Cram School Instructor

After passing an online interview, I actually enjoyed working there! However, suits were mandatory with a 40-minute commute and 2 transfers 😅 While class wages were high, initial administrative wages were below minimum wage, making the effective hourly wage around 800 yen.

💡 Point: Cram school instructor positions often separate class wages from administrative wages, so calculate your effective hourly wage!

5. Idol Photo Session Job

I went to interview after hearing about 2000 yen per hour, but there were suspicious phrases like “Idol monthly salary 800,000 yen” on the whiteboard, and the location was in Kabukicho 💦 No contact came after the interview, but I felt something was off.

💡 Point: Be cautious of jobs with excessively high hourly wages! Research thoroughly beforehand.

6. Private Tutor

High pay at over 2000 yen per hour! While it’s not suitable for earning big money (once a week, 90 minutes), I got matched with a wonderful family, sometimes even getting treated to meals – personally, it’s the best job 💕 The atmosphere is relaxed, with parents handing over payment directly.

💡 Point: Private tutoring varies greatly depending on the family, but when you find a good match, it becomes the perfect workplace!

7. One-time Job (Otaku Separation)

One-time jobs are attractive because you can work immediately after registration without interviews ✨ I worked at an idol event doing “otaku separation” – separating fans from idols after their interaction time.

I became friends with students next to me and chatted the whole time, or just watched idols and fans – basically, it was boring 😂 Standing all day was tough, but overall it was easy work. Even with lower hourly wages, earning nearly 10,000 yen per day is attractive!

Popular Part-time Job Categories Among Waseda Students 📊

📚 Cram School Instructor

The most common job. While utilizing your academic background is appealing, there are many disadvantages:

Advantages:

• Can utilize academic background
• Deepens your own knowledge through teaching
• Joy of watching students grow

Disadvantages:

• Limited number of classes per day (about 3-4 sessions)
• Administrative wages at minimum wage, class wages only 1200-1400 yen
• Suits mandatory; need to go to school in suits every time if you can’t keep suits at workplace

High-paying places (e.g., Waseda ○○ Academy) exist but are reportedly strict with an athletic club atmosphere 💦

🏨 Hotels

Work includes food service and bridal events. Many high-end hotels, unique to Waseda’s proximity to Shinjuku! Many students work there with good reputations ✨

Advantages:

• Develops customer service skills
• Luxurious work environment
• Relatively high hourly wages (1200-1500 yen)
• Flexible shift scheduling

🍽️ Restaurants (Izakaya & High-end Dining)

Restaurant work is attractive because you can work many shifts! While izakaya work is busy and tough, high-end restaurants have better customers and higher wages. If you follow etiquette, they’re easy to work at and highly recommended 👍

Biggest Restaurant Advantage: Staff Meals 🍜 Especially for students living alone, staff meals significantly reduce food expenses! It’s no exaggeration to say “staff meals = +1 hour’s wage worth,” and this benefit is truly huge. Actually, it’s too huge 😂

Effective Hourly Wage Calculation for Restaurants with Staff Meals:

• Base hourly wage: 1100 yen
• Staff meal value: 500 yen (1 meal)
• For 6-hour shifts with 1 meal: Effective hourly wage 1183 yen!

☕ Cafes & Restaurants Around Waseda

Especially recommended are restaurants around Waseda! You can work at famous Waseda “abura-soba” shops 🍜

Advantages:

• Can work on the way to/from school
• Mostly student customers, relaxed atmosphere
• Can work during free periods
• Nearly zero commute time
