2025年の早稲田大学入学式は、4月1日（火）と4月2日（水）の2日間にわたって行われました！🗓️
場所: 戸山キャンパスの早稲田アリーナ 特徴: 早稲田大学は学生数がとても多いので、なんと2日間で4回も入学式が行われるんです！😲
🕐 タイムスケジュール
4月1日（火）
- 第1回（10:30〜）: 政治経済学部、法学部、教育学部、関連大学院等
- 第2回（14:30〜）: 文学部、文化構想学部、スポーツ科学部、国際教養学部、芸術学校等
4月2日（水）
- 第3回（10:30〜）: 商学部、社会科学部、人間科学部、関連大学院等
- 第4回（14:30〜）: 基幹理工、創造理工、先進理工等
📺 YouTube同時中継もあり！ 保護者は入学式に出席できないので、YouTubeで見ることができます。これは地方の保護者の方にとってはとても嬉しいサービスですね！👨👩👧👦
🎼 入学式の流れ
🎺 吹奏楽団の演奏からスタート！
入学式は早稲田大学吹奏楽団の素晴らしい演奏で始まります！指揮者は海外でも有名な方で、演奏も日本最高レベルだそうです🎵 素人の私でも「綺麗な音だなぁ」と思わず聞き入ってしまいました！
👨🎓 学長と教授陣の入場
その後、学長と各学部の教授陣が入場してきます。いよいよ本格的な式典の始まりです！
😴 学長の長〜い話
そして…学長の長い長い話が始まります😅 正直に言うと、本当に長くて、私はお尻の痛みをどう紛らわすかを考えていたり、隣の人になんて話しかけようかなと考えていたりしました💭 前に座っている教授陣も数名寝ている人がいて、早稲田大学を孤高の存在のように見ていた私からしたら少しがっかりしましたが、人として寝てしまう気持ちも理解できました😂
🎬 ゲストの登場！
私の学部の入学式には、ゲストとして俳優の北大路欣也さんが来られました！🌟 北大路さんは気を使ってくれたのか、話がとても短く、「いい人だなあ」と思いました。私にとっては初めてテレビの中の人を生で見たので、とてもうれしい気持ちになりました！✨
🎤 応援団による校歌斉唱
応援団の団長が舞台の前でずっと踊っており、それに合わせて校歌を歌うというものです！早稲田大学の校歌を歌って、一旦の入学式は終了です🎵
💭 式典内で感じたこと
早稲田大学には内部生と外部生がおり、同じ高校出身の人たちで来る人や、一人でいる人など、いろんな人が見られました👥 しかし、どちらかというと一人でいる人の方が多く、その人たちの中には、その場で仲良くなって入学式が始まる前に写真を撮り出す人や、ずーっと一人でいる人など、いろんな人がいました。私はずーっと一人でいる方でした😅
でも入学式が終わる頃にはちょこちょこ隣の人と喋っている人が多くおり、私もその時に隣の人に話しかけて友達になることができました！🤝
⚠️ 注意点: 入学式で出会った隣の人とは、それ以降あまり仲良くなる機会はありません。同じクラスになる確率はとても低いし、ほとんどその後は話すことはないでしょう。
💇♂️ 髪色についての失敗談
地方出身の私は、早稲田大学は個性あふれる人がいて、いろんな髪色の人がいるんだろうなと思っていたので、私も金髪で入学式に参加しました💛 しかし、入学式はまだほとんどの人が黒髪で、金髪は百人に一人というレベルでした😱 地方の人は十分気をつけてください！友達もいないのに、一人で金髪でいるととても浮きます…
📸 入学式後のお楽しみ
入学式の後には大きく二つのことがあります！
1️⃣ 記念撮影
大隈重信の銅像と写真を撮ったり、キャンパスと写真を撮ったりします📷 今年もとても混んでおり、大隈重信のところには多くの人が並んでいました。でも、大隈重信は早稲田キャンパス（本キャン）と戸山キャンパスにも小さな大隈重信がいるので、そこでもいいんじゃないかなと思いました！
💡 おすすめ: 前もって早稲田大学の近くに引っ越してきたり、早稲田大学に行ける人は、事前に学校に来て大隈重信と写真を撮ることをおすすめします！
2️⃣ 新歓のビラ配り
新歓のビラ配りは主に本キャンで行われています📋 本キャンに入ると、大量の紙を持った先輩方が「我がサークルにぜひ来てほしい」と新歓活動を行います！彼らに捕まってしまったら新入生とバレるので、次々に先輩たちがチラシを渡してきます😄
体育会系の人たちは3号館にブースを持っているので、体格のいい人はラグビー部やアメリカンフットボール部などに誘われるでしょう🏈 3号館に連れて行かれ、名前を聞かれ、「ぜひどうですか」と新歓されます。
でも安心してください！その人たちはみんな優しいので、断ってもらっても全然かまいません😊
私は二、三十枚チラシをもらいました！一瞬行っただけなのに、こんなにチラシをもらうなんて、初めての体験すぎて、とても楽しかったです🎉 めんどくさがらず、ぜひ皆さん、新歓のビラ配りに行ってみてください！楽しい経験ができますよ！
🌧️ 雨の日の珍現象
今年の入学式の日は雨だったので、落ちたビラが濡れて、それをみんなが踏んで、地面が真っ白になるという珍しい現象が起きました☔ 私の靴の裏も真っ白になっており、全部チラシだらけでした！それもそれでいい経験だなと思いました😂
一人で入学式に行く人は新歓のビラ配りに行く勇気がないと思いますが、入学式で隣の人に話しかけて一緒に行くとか、一人でも歓迎してくれる先輩方がたくさんいるので、ぜひ行ってみてください！「こんなサークルもあるんだ！」って思うはずです✨
数多くのサークルがあり、早稲田の「日本一サークルが多い」の意味がわかると思います！
⏰ 新歓期間について
新歓のビラ配りは1週間から2週間ほど続くので、ぜひ1回でも行ってみてください！📅
⚠️ 注意: 1、2週間経った後に、新歓のためでなく学校に行ってビラをもらってしまうと、新入生だと認識され、多くの人が近寄ってきます。もし本当にビラがいらないときは1枚ももらわないで、上級生のふりをして歩くことをおすすめします🚶♀️
🕐 授業開始までの空白期間
早稲田大学の入学式は4月1日、2日ですが、実際に授業が始まるのは2週間から3週間後なので、その2週間の間はとても暇です😊 友達と遊んだり、東京を観光したりする時間に私は使いましたが、それでいいと思います！
時間があるうちに、アルバイトを探したり、興味のあるサークルの新歓に積極的に参加してみてください！🎯

🎤 School Song by the Cheering Squad
The cheering squad captain was dancing in front of the stage the whole time, and we sang the school song along with it! We sang Waseda University’s school song, and that concluded the entrance ceremony 🎵
💭 What I Felt During the Ceremony
At Waseda University, there are internal students and external students, and you could see various people – those who came with people from the same high school, those who were alone, etc. 👥 However, there were more people who were alone, and among them, some became friends on the spot and started taking pictures before the entrance ceremony began, while others stayed alone the whole time. I was one of those who stayed alone the whole time 😅
But by the end of the entrance ceremony, many people were chatting with those next to them, and I also talked to the person next to me at that time and became friends! 🤝
⚠️ Note: You don’t really get many opportunities to become close with the person you met next to you at the entrance ceremony. The probability of being in the same class is very low, and you probably won’t talk much after that.
💇♂️ My Hair Color Mistake
As someone from the countryside, I thought Waseda University would have people full of individuality with various hair colors, so I participated in the entrance ceremony with blonde hair 💛 However, at the entrance ceremony, most people still had black hair, and blonde hair was at the level of one in a hundred people 😱 People from rural areas should be careful! When you’re alone without friends and have blonde hair, you really stand out…
📸 Fun Activities After the Entrance Ceremony
There are two main activities after the entrance ceremony!
1️⃣ Memorial Photography
Taking photos with the statue of Okuma Shigenobu and photos with the campus 📷 This year was also very crowded, with many people lining up at Okuma Shigenobu’s statue. However, there are smaller Okuma Shigenobu statues at both Waseda Campus (main campus) and Toyama Campus, so I think those would be fine too!
💡 Recommendation: For those who moved near Waseda University in advance or can visit Waseda University beforehand, I recommend coming to school early and taking photos with Okuma Shigenobu then!
2️⃣ New Student Welcome Flyer Distribution
The new student welcome flyer distribution mainly takes place at the main campus 📋 When you enter the main campus, seniors with lots of papers conduct welcome activities saying “Please come to our club!” Once they catch you and realize you’re a new student, seniors will hand you flyers one after another 😄
Athletic club members have booths at Building 3, so people with good physiques will be invited to rugby or American football clubs 🏈 You’ll be taken to Building 3, asked your name, and welcomed with “How about joining us?”
But don’t worry! All those people are kind, so it’s perfectly fine to decline 😊

🌧️ Rainy Day Phenomenon

People who go to the entrance ceremony alone might not have the courage to go to the new student welcome flyer distribution, but you can talk to the person next to you at the entrance ceremony and go together, or there are many seniors who welcome you even if you’re alone, so please definitely try going!
